The Cape, Addo Elephant Park and Great Karoo
London Heathrow/Cape Town (overnight flight)
Arrival Cape Town : Four Rosmead, Cape Town - 4 Days
Four Rosmead is an exclusive guesthouse situated on the slopes of Table Mountain in the select residential suburb of Oranjezicht. Accommodation consists of eight bespoke en-suite bedrooms furnished in a chic contemporary style. There is a lovely pool.
Cape Town/Port Elizabeth Gorah : Addo Elephant Park – 3 Days
You will be met on arrival, and transferred to Gorah Elephant Camp, in the malaria free Addo National Park. Your accommodation is in a luxury tent with a thatched canopy and en suite facilities. Addo Elephant National Park is home to the densest elephant population in Africa. There is a large herd of Cape buffalo, black rhino, as well as a wealth of bird life. Lion and hyena have been reintroduced into the park, making Gorah a "Big 5" camp.
Drive Port Elizabeth/Samara : Samara Private Reserve – 3 Days
Originally a farm, Samara has retained the essence of a Karoo homestead amidst scenery on a grand scale. The game at Samara is desert based with unusual sightings such as aardvark, bat eared fox, porcupine and jackal quite common. There are copious amounts of plains game including oryx, red hartebeest, and the rare mountain zebra, but the real highlight is cheetah tracking on foot - these endangered animals are thriving at Samara. Beautifully designed cottages, together with truly scrumptious food make this the perfect place to end a safari.
